It does not matter who you are It does not matter what you have done It does not matter what you are doing or what you will do or how good you will become or how great you think you are what others think of you what you will achieve for yourself or for others or even for God God is forgiving you in the present God is giving mercy new every morning God is streaming grace in ways you will never understand God is love beyond your experience Grace is an ocean of Life -c. clay How can we reconcile the grace of God with the teaching that true salvation is found in walking the path of Jesus? Simple, this is the path this is the example of Jesus. His path was forgiveness, imprinted on this earth with every step. Jesus is giving out grace with force, like an uncapped river overflowing on all sides. In all of His being He was grace to the sinner and healing to the broken. And He is pouring this into us; in quality and quantity of mercy, grace and forgiveness. He is filling us, as overflowing vessels, meant to flood the earth. It goes into the world through us and into us, even when we resist. Forgiveness so abundant it can never fully experience an uncapped limitless flood of mercy and grace groaning in the souls of His own until they can learn to release. Even then there is always a supply beyond understanding. Walking the path of Jesus is more about forgiveness and mercy then any contrived posturing of mans righteousness. We would find more holiness in one ounce of mercy than an ocean of ritual. Forgiveness and mercy express the beauty of God, painting the black stain of evil and sin a brilliant white. If there is an answer for the philosophical question of evil none better than the creation of a canvas for mercy. Join Jesus in his display of grace to those who have sinned against you, with the substance of unbound grace that God has given you. Embrace, with the weakness of the broken and the heartbeat of Christ, and say “neither do I.” Bathe in the ocean of His grace like children, inviting all others in to that party! Let this mantra be on your lips; forgive everyone, of everything, all the time. |
